The story that gets you in the mood–

I could be anywhere at all–

Atlanta, Georgia Shopping Mall.

But I’m not, No I cannot lie to you–

It’s a Motel Christmas, I’m

on the road and I

feel blue…..

I’ve had some hardtimes–

No I never used to blab about ‘em

at all….

But I’m in the mood, blame the movie channel–

To be shopping in the MALL–

If I had enough money I’d be

Where everybody cared

about me….

But I’m not, I’m where I am

still alive–

It’s a Motel Christmas–

On the road I’m Still Alive….

Motel 10, just around the bend

Freeway for a porch,

HBO instead of a fire–I

got the heater on full

Happy despite it all–Alive but

Blue, It’s a Motel Christmas

What else was I to do?–

Motel 6, just for kicks–no

Christmas lights at all–

But the heater works–HBO

takes me away anywhere I

wanna go.

Where I wanna go——

Where God is

the Motel OR at the mall.

Where God is, here with me–

Remember Him–Christ
